I have a question about GH testing. I have a water softener. My KH measures 6. I am at 40 drops of GH test solution, and the water is as yellow as it was at 2 drops. Is the softener screwing up the Gh test?

HI racedvl I added a piece of driftwood to 2 different tanks. After of course I boiled them, and froze them as well. That was last September. Mine still float. Yes they are real wood. I cut down a couple of larger pieces to get the size I wanted. I am not sure when these will sink, so hang in there.
