Hi I am gettimg back into salt water again and was aftwr some advice reference filtration. I.e skimmer uv sterilisation reactors and thing. What would be a really good filter set up. Any help is appreciated.
I have a thick green carpet growing ovwr my sand bed and rocks and I think it killed my plants. Any ideas on what it is. I did a bit of research and thought maybe caynobacteria. But not sure. Also how to I vet rid of it.
He was added yesterday. Yeah it was cycled properly for about 8 weeks. He was drip acclimated over 2 or 3 hours. He was only added yesterday. I thought it may have been low oxygen. Is an airstone and pump a must. U do have my powerheads pointed to surface to move surface layer
Hi I have just set up my freshwater aquarium. I have sand as substrate a few rocks and some live plants.and 2 t5 bulbs. Iv added a oscar he was fine in the shop but now all he dose is lay on the bottom. Any ideas. I was thinking maybe lack of oxygen as I dont use airstone
No nothing is new. I woke up and the waster was so cloudy I couldn't see. Fish were on top nearly alive but soon died. What could have caused the cloudy water
Hi my tank is been running for almost 2 years now. I recently noticed my toadstool looking a bit off. But every now and then he would look funny I was told its getting rid of waste and will be back to normal in a day or 2. I woke this morning and my water is very cloudy and everything's dead...
i know the water conditions in my tank recently have been poor as i lost my job i was unable to afford the salt to mix my water so i hadnt changed the water in 8weeks. slowly getting sorted now though.. so would this stuff form in poor water then as its slowly started to grow from nothing
the thing is guys that this rock and everything els in the tank has been in there 1 yr with nothing new added in this time. so it must have grown from nothing. is this possible.
i use ro water i feed maybe once a weekyeah its cycled its been running over 12 months now. the tank is 125 litres in it i have a valentini puffer a neon damsel a fire fish orange star cleaner chrinp and a few hermits mini maxi nem star polyps and a leather toad stool
