possible cayno bacteria

hi i think i have an out break of cyano bacteria. its a red covering on my sand bed moving over my rock work... how do i get rid as i syphoned it onve and it came back many thanks

Cyano its a nutrient issue within the tank. Do you use ro/di? Are you cycled? How much and how often do you feed? What do you feed? How big is your tank and what live stock is in it?

i use ro water i feed maybe once a weekyeah its cycled its been running over 12 months now. the tank is 125 litres in it i have a valentini puffer a neon damsel a fire fish orange star cleaner chrinp and a few hermits mini maxi nem star polyps and a leather toad stool
