Pour some vinager on the rocks, if the vinager bubbles the rocks are unsafe. Also make sure you scrub the rocks off pretty well.

i had a puffer in my saltwater for a couple of months. i dont know much about switching them from brackish to marine? saltwater reefs are very fun to watch

My jaguar did the same thing when i first moved him into my larger tank with much brighter lighting, i just built him a nice cave and slowly kinda broke him into it. Hes fine now sits at the top and waits tp be fed when i walk in the room.

Just give him/her some time to get used to it. Maybe build it a cave thats nice and shady. Also slowly break him into it.. Slowly increase the amount of time you have the light on everyday
