Was doing a wc today and spotted 40-60 new brichardi fry! Looks like they just finished their yolk sacs. The 3/4" fry dont seem to mind them at all.

I finally got my firemouth out of qt and into my new 55. Yesterday I purchased a beautiful 3" green terror and he's in qt right now. I was wondering what other non-cichlid fish I could put in with these guys? Synos? Loaches? Danios?

Its a no-name all-purpose cleaner, ingredients are water and ammonium hydroxide. There is maybe a little foam but it could be just water bubbles. It says its phosphate free and corrosive.

What does this stuff do? It says it removes ammonia but does it do it chemically or by providing the bacteria a good place to live. AC also makes the amrid media so my guess is the latter.

Hows this for a deal - a 55g tank and stand, great condition. Two AC300 filters, a 200w submersable heater, gravel, decorations, and a canopy for $85 canadian. Now all I gotta do is come up with a stock list :)

Is the pH drop for peat moss permanent, or does it raise back up over time like with driftwood?
