hey, do quarunteen tanks need to be running all the time? or can i just 'start it up' again when i need it? like, keep the water in it and only plug it in when necessary, or does it have to be runnig constantly (even when empty) to be effective? thanks in advance, Becky

well i bought it at a pet shop a few months ago, but i'm not sure how long they had him - they aren't very busy, so it's possible they had him a while. i haven't had any problems with him before, oh, he shedded his skin a weekish ago, does that say anything about hhis age? x

ok, the only other tank i have is a 29 gallon with a clown loach, two siamese algae eaters and LOTS of mollies and a bubble blowing filter tho - would this be too much for the betta? i'm worried he'll be blown about and 'bullied' by the other fish? x

hey, does anyone have any ideas about hhow to stock a tank this size? i initially wanted to keep various female betta splendens together, but now i realise this really isn't possible! :nono: the tank will have a lid, and a heater (kept at around 25 degrees) and water changes are done...

hi, has anyone ever had / heard of an african dwarf frog that has lost its foot? his front foot seems to be completely gone, with nothing but white fuzzy stuff on its left over 'wrist'. i've looked up foot fungus and the pictures don't look right so i'm very confused. he's kept in a 6.5 gallon...

my zebra nerite snail hasn't moved in about 5 days now. not moved one bit. at all. ever. not for oxygen, food or anything. if he's dead (and at this point, i'm pretty sure he is) how can i tell? any well known reasons why he'd die? the other snail's fine, so's the betta... so?! Becky...XxX

sucker loach is the same as a chinese algae eater.

3 mollies, 2 molly fry, 2 sucker loaches, 1 clown loach, 5 neon tetras, 3 male guppies, might add more clown loaches if thhis is possible. in a 30 gallon, is this okay, or over stocked? are these fish compatible? :fish1::fish2::fish1:

i have 2 molly fry in a hatchery atm, and they both have a white spot completly covering their bellies - they aren't ill are they? :hide: also, (and this is true of the other mollies too) their tails are looking slightly transparent here and their, kind of see through. they all eat normally, and...

How long should i keep molly fry in hatchery? they are about 1.5 cm long now, i have 3 mollies, 2 sucker loaches, and a clown loach in a 29 gallon tank, but i'm worried that they might get lost / starve / get sucked into filter? and the filter has quite a strong flow - would this hurt them...

no, i only added plants a couple of days after buying the tank- that's why i'm so suprised that they never showed themselves before - they are small tho, they blend in with the gravel, and you only really see them when you're looking for them tho, i suppose.... should i get rid of them or are...

Hi there, just wanted to know where these snails have come from? :o they're very tiny, not even a cm long, and they've just literally appeared out of now where? i do have snails, but they're zebra nerite snails, and are nearly impossile to breed, so i'm pretty sure it isn't a baby of theirs! and...

i only have 3, (i know, i need more, but i'm looking after them for a while for a friend, so i don't want to buy more for him to look after - he doesn't even like them much!) i'm moving them to a different tank today or tommorow though- just in case what the male gourami has is contagious!

my danios (3) seem to harrass my dwarf gourami, (male) they've shredded his fins a bit, so having a back up plan wouldn't hurt! all the best.
