U might need better lighting tho, did u say u had a regular house light bulb in there? Ime this will get too hot and melt something lol. Best use fluorescents as they will have the correct spectrum of light for your plants. Good luck
Yea java fern and moss will work, I have two Anubis plants in my 2ft tall tank and they grow like mad. Also red tiger lotus seems to do well as long as u add ferts
My harlequin rasboras school very nicely during and after a water change. Lol! they soon chill out and find there own space tho. I tried to combat it by adding some cherry barbs, but they all just hang out together lol not a bad thing I suppose theyre all friends

Tank mates were 2 blue rams which he made friends with, four cherry barbs. 2 corys, 3 lamp eyes an an apple snail. I didn't see any bullying but maybe. His colour was very bright right till the end no fading at all .
