My old lighting was metal halide combination. My local fish store guy said that I should start the lights at 30% white and 40% blue and increase it by 5% every week for about a month. He said don't exceed 50% white and 60% blue. Is this pretty accurate?

I think it might be a sponge but I am not sure. Can someone identify these please? They are growing all over my tank.

Its foamy looking. bubbles. and high columns/piles of it. it jiggles when water goes past.

A powerhead is a pump that you stick to the side of your tank to help with the currents inside the tank. You can find them in almost every pet store. They have them on amazon and ebay for a good price as well.

I am in the process of setting up a 72 gallon reef tank but I don't know which water pumps to use. I don't have any pumps for the currents inside the tank yet. And I need a stronger pump to pump the water back into the tank from the wet/dry filter.
