    New Lights!

My old lighting was metal halide combination. My local fish store guy said that I should start the lights at 30% white and 40% blue and increase it by 5% every week for about a month. He said don't exceed 50% white and 60% blue. Is this pretty accurate?

Thank you! I am still learning about the different corals. So I don't have to worry about having too much light for them?

    New Lights!

So I just bought two of the Taotronic 120W Intelligent lights yesterday for my 55g Reef aquarium and I don't know what kind of schedule I should keep the lights on. Right now I have it running on the factory schedule but I don't know if this is right or not. I have some zoas, a hammer, a torch...

    recommendation on a UV STERILIZER

I bought this one and within a couple days, my tank was sparkly clean. And on the box, it says it adds life to your tank; it's definitely not lying.

A powerhead is a pump that you stick to the side of your tank to help with the currents inside the tank. You can find them in almost every pet store. They have them on amazon and ebay for a good price as well.

Metal Halide Lighting. What do I do?

I am planning a reef tank but the lights are over a year old and I know you have to replace them every 10 to 12 months since they lose their intensity. And I am working on sending them back. I decided to buy a whole new light due to the fact that I can't even find an LED bulb to replace one of...

Metal Halide Lighting. What do I do?

I guess the better question would be: Is 10,000K enough light for a 72 Gallon Aquarium?

I have had my stealth Pro heater since the fall and I haven't had any problems with it. Should I still take it back? I think I bought it from Petco as well.

Metal Halide Lighting. What do I do?

I just recieved my metal halide light bulbs today to replace my old ones and when I turned them on, they produced a greenish color in the tank. Is this normal or do I need to send them back to get new ones? They are 175W 220V lights and I ordered them off Amazon. What's even worse is I can't...

    What pumps do I use?

The sump is a little less than 4 feet below the tank or about 4 feet and I think it is like 1/2" pond tubing for the return. Right now I have a ViaAqua 2600 pump for the return but the current just isn't strong enough with this pump. Do you guys have any recommendations for pumps just for water...

    Heeeey!

My name is Andrew. I have had freshwater fish since I was 12 and I am now 18. I have been helping my mom with her fish-only saltwater tank for at least three years now. And I am now starting a 72 gallon reef tank for myself and I hope that by joining this site, I can be successful at finishing...

    What pumps do I use?

I am in the process of setting up a 72 gallon reef tank but I don't know which water pumps to use. I don't have any pumps for the currents inside the tank yet. And I need a stronger pump to pump the water back into the tank from the wet/dry filter.
