Wondering what skimmer would anyone recommend for a 55 gallon FOWLR

My Fire Shrimp comes out from his perch on liverock cave to eat when I feed flake food or mysis shrimp.He scurries out while all my fish are swimming around,doesn't seem to bother him.

I have used a Fluval 404 in my 55 gal FOWLR since last August with no complaints.I have not experienced the priming problems others have reported.

No I'm not putting sand in QT.I was referring to main tank.The fish I still have are 2 Damsels and a Royal Gramma currently not showing any signs of stress or ich. What type of filter is recommended for QT?I don't plan on treating current fish unless signs of ich appear.
