    Doug's 250, now 300, in wall build

Depends on the sand. When I had fine sand in my stingray tank 2 yrs ago, I vacuumed 4" from my sand bed and got what ever was on the top. When I had pool filter sand I stuck the vacuum in the sand for about 2 seconds then brought it up and kept repeating for the rest of the tank. I vacuumed up...

    Cheap LED solution???

It's too much in one spot. I think 10w Crees spread out are better. Your tank is 4ft deep right?

    125 FOWLR take 2

If the flow for the mag 24 is too much you can get a longer hose so that the gph decreases because of headloss.

    Lighting??

Aquatraders.com Has some nice t5s. I used theirs on multiple tanks and really liked my coral growth. Their 4 bulb 216w is good for LPS, Zoas, Leathers, and other med to low light coral. For SPS you should add another 108w fixture along with the 4 bulb.

    Lighting??

12k-20k is what you should aim for in a reef. You're ideal wattage should be 4-6w per gallon with t5s and 2-4w with LEDs. But PAR is the most important because that is how strong your lighting is. Only problem is PAR meters are real expensive. So measuring in watts is the next best thing.

    First nano tank.

If you have room for a 6' tank then a 220 is the best way to go. You can keep almost all reef safe fish

    Gboy & NuNu's RSM250 update!!

Add an arch in the middle at the very top so that it becomes a 3 tiered scape. The you got SPS at the top LPS in the middle and a Zoa garden at the bottom!

Really? Mine was really active but never hurt a thing. Another fish I liked was the Mexican rock wrasse. Really nice streamers and color.

    125 FOWLR take 2

Yep another good one is the bursa trigger. But another aggressive one would be an undulate or queen trigger.

100%. I saw him ripping off his spines then eating it. I tried catching him but by the time I did the lion was already on the verge of death.
