Thank you guys! What started as an innocent hobby is becoming something more serious (an addiction? :) ). I didn't even have the names of the plants that I've got when I first started, have to identify them now... Anyways, with the help of this forum, looks like my tank is doing fine so far...

Guys, I've been looking at Fluval SPEC Desktop Glass Aquarium, 2-gallon on amazon. I want it on my desktop planted, with a few cardinals (?) Can you please suggest me nice plants that won't require CO2 kit, and will do well with EXCEL in this tank? Also, I am open for the fish suggestions :)

UPDATE: I kept my tank dark for 3 days. Plants are looking much better now, although they are not entirely clean. Also, I've made a discovery: a small snail in the tank. My only guess is that it got in with the substrate.

Hello guys, here is my two month old 65 gallons. Everything seems to be fine, except that black stuff on my plants (please see the second picture). Plants doesn't seem to mind, and grow very rapidly, but i would like to see clean and green leafs :) I'd appreciate any advise. P.S. I am sorry...
