Just go to the hardware store and get an adapter for your faucet. They have several different options. I went through the same thing. Pain in the ars!!!

I personally think that the problem is at the lfs. Many of them give false info on care. Maybe the ban should be in people who don't know what they're doing selling fish. Just a thought.

My Texas cichlid

How common are albino fish in cichlids? My redtop cobalt zebras seem to put fry out at a 50/50 ratio. Just curious as none of the females or males are albino.

If you watch the video it tells you to cut the opening bigger for bigger fish. The trap was in the tank 20min and she was caught.

Ahhhhh, I totally forgot about him. I have a chinese algea eater. I have heard that they will eat the slime coat off of sleeping fish. You think that could be it? I've really never seen him bother anyone, but who knows what happens when the lights go off!!!

It's a 125 mbuna tank. It's a mix of zebras and kenyi. The tank has been running for 6 years and I've never seen anything like that spot. At first I thought maybe agression. Just curious what everyone else thought.

Shortly after feeding I found poor fella on the bottom. The body is still soft, so it had to just happen. I tested water and everything is normal. The I found this spot on his side, but it doesn't look like anything I've seen. Any ideas?

I bought a clip light with a 60 watt plant bulb to put over the sump portion of my trickle filter. I put some java moss in there in hopes it will help with nitrates. My question is, will 60 w be enough, and how long should that light stay on? I currently have it on the timer with my main lights.

Nope, I've used them before. Just have to make sure and clean them first. The PVC is also a good idea I've seen that works well.

Clay pots are always an option.

I used flagstone which I got from the local landscape store. .24 cents a pound. Cheap and looks good IMO.

Yea I'm hoping I can catch her as she's in a 125 with tons of flagstone. This is my first go around with the African cichlids so wish me luck lol!!!

I think my red fin blue zebra is holding. She doesn't eat, and has a pouch under her mouth. What do you guys think?

Kinda looks like a worm to me. Is that SW? Maybe a Bristle worm from the live rock.
