Sudden Death

Shortly after feeding I found poor fella on the bottom. The body is still soft, so it had to just happen. I tested water and everything is normal. The I found this spot on his side, but it doesn't look like anything I've seen. Any ideas?

I'm very sorry to hear your fish died.:-( But as far as the ailment that lead to his death idk! How long have you had him?
 
It's a 125 mbuna tank. It's a mix of zebras and kenyi. The tank has been running for 6 years and I've never seen anything like that spot. At first I thought maybe agression. Just curious what everyone else thought.
 
Ahhhhh, I totally forgot about him. I have a chinese algea eater. I have heard that they will eat the slime coat off of sleeping fish. You think that could be it? I've really never seen him bother anyone, but who knows what happens when the lights go off!!!
