I just bought 10 bags of white play sand at Wally World! It's branded "Kolor Scape" and distributed by Old Castle. 2.98 for a 40# bag $32 for 400 lbs of sand! They have palllets full of the stuff! Dave

That's the hard part....I have 2 Red Sea test kits....cant get a reading on either of them(not expired), an American Pharm. and I've even tried the "dip strips". The AF and strips are close to the sample I mixed using RO water and added KNO3. The Red Sea test only seems to register nitrates...

I use RO water in all my tanks and my water is normally quite cold....I have a 30 gal plastic drum that I transfer the RO water into with a 300w submersable heater. The water comes up to temp in no time and simply pump the water from the drum to the tank. Just a thought.you might want to give...
