I'd get the tabs. It really helps my ten gallon. I'm using black sand with tabs and flourish.

And on the 31st day God added red rasboras and 2 Otos.

Should I redo or jus put a small layer of such substrate on top? Darn Oto and CPO messing it up! Lol

Using a co2 tank and diffusing it into the water so plants grow faster?! I'm getting into the whole aquascaping thing. Expensive hobby!

Thanks! Its only a five gallon. I jus learned about the whole using CO2 thingy and I was intrigued. I jus put in two small neon tetras. But I think I should remove them now. LOL!

Think I gotta redo. Hopefully not. Darn CPO and Oto keep messing them up. Maybe I gotta top with more substrate. Maybe bury a little on the top. What do u think?

Wow! Almost looks real! I met a guy at a LFS. He!! made his own out of thick styrofoam and etched out crevasses and rocks. Then he sprayed it grey. Preety cool stuff. Here is interesting stuff I found on WPG rule.

Oh yah I forgot about power outrages. I guess here in hawaii we don't have to much of those. :) Guess i should buy battery opperated filter or pump just in case. And I'm glad I don't need one of those thermostat thingys. Congrats on the buy! Tank looks good!

No need airstones. Just use filter. Oxygen can come from your plants. Filters seize because of not being maintained.
