Ok. I shall keep it in mind, hopefully with the extra plants the algae issue will level out, at least the fish will have a nicer environment it's very bare in there right now.

Ahh that's probably why I have such a problem with algae now. Just need to find the right balance if plants that I can look after without them dying!

Thanks river cats. I did and do use root tabs I just didn't like the way the roots tracked everywhere! There are some plants there I haven't heard of so will have a look at them. I know wisteria doesn't seem to do well either but haven't used root tabs with them in the past

My tetras and corys are full size I've had the corys nearly year and the tetras around 6 months. The too of my tank is super empty though. Will have a look at those plants I think I've had wisteria before and it didn't go well in my tank! Thanks for the advice
