    Large "bubble" on anemone

I tried to get a good pic of it but this is as good as I can get it. Its a purple anemone that got this "bubble" a few months ago. He stayed under a rock for months and I fed him shrimp when his tentacles came out a little. I think the clown pair may have stressed him. He just came out of...

    Todd's 240g Build

I agree with you on not having him fix it. Maybe as an option having him pay for another company to replace that pane. A company with a warranty and insurance.

    Cyclop eze

Not sure why the lfs recommended no mysis and cyclopeze on same day. A lot of people feed their finicky anthias, mandarins and seahorses cyclopeze and mysis the same day.

    Carey's Final Reef Upgrade- 180g

I have a similar setup with a mag 18. Only difference I have is that the tubing connects directly to the pump. The flow is strong, causing deep ripples to reach the front of the tank.

    Help ID Tilefish

Thank you. Mine lives with a red stripe tilefish. They swim together 99% of the time. Has a voracious appetite. Peaceful and does hide when scared. Lives well with snails. Bright reef lights does not affect them.

Wow! You have the best books AND you read them. I'm impressed. I have to figure out how to add my pic online for others to see. I could only find a few pics of them.

    Help ID Tilefish

Thank you Tony!!!! I think you're right. The pics, very few online, of the grey tilefish is exactly like mine. How did you find it? There is very little info available on them.

    Help ID Tilefish

I have had this guy for 7 months. The LFS where I got him from just called him a blue tilefish. Can anyone id him for me? I thought it was a blue jaw but his colors aren't as bright. He may be one but I want to make sure. He may be a changing tilefish.

    Carey's Final Reef Upgrade- 180g

I'm surprised the squareback isn't eating. I remember you had a large one before. Maybe putting the food in front of a powerhead to have the food moving fast. A lot of anthias like to eat fast moving food.

    Carey's Final Reef Upgrade- 180g

^+1 That's what I did years ago when I got them. Dry, scrub, bleach and rinse with rodi. I got one head recently from a frag, Zap tasia works perfectly. It was overkill since I used an entire syringe of it for a 1/2inch head.

Congrats! She will eat nori in due time. It took my coral beauty a month to eat prepared or nori. They grazed on my visibly algae free rocks.

What made you want a REEF aquarium?

I can blame my wife. Three years ago we went to petsmart to get me a 47g column tank for a pair of seahorses. While I was pointing out the tank excited about buying it her back was to me looking at the 156g tank they had on display. Asking "What about this one?" It was on at that point. In...
