All personal preference. Having the Rock the way you have it really allows for maximum flow behind the tank which is a bonus. That's how I had my 75 set up when I had it.

I run mine overnight regularly. You can always get a float valve for it so it will shut off once it reaches the desired level.

Great prices are always a win. Make sure to ask them how old the halide bulbs are since it is used. Either that, or just spring for new ones to be safe.

The metal halide fixture would be a better fit for a 75 IMO. 2 150+watt halides with PCs for actinic supplementation should be fine. Having started out with a 4 bulb t-5 fixture on my 75, albeit a cheap one, I wouldn't recommend it. I would look for a 6 bulb fixture to take care of The needs...

It's a Deep Blue Edge 75 with a Deep Blue series 1 stand. Honestly, I don't recommend the stand at all. It has a huge center brace in the front which really makes it inconvenient for maintenance. I say spend a little extra and find a local cabinet maker to build something to fit your needs.

I agree with keeping the wood look. Walnut is gorgeous! My guess is it will really set it apart from your other tanks and really make it pop! Not that the size wouldn't do that already... :)
