I have 4 assassins in a 10gall tank and still get a few snails, make sure you don't overfeed fish as this promotes more snail activity. The assassin snails will feed on food thats not been eaten Hope this helps

Hi, i am getting a large amount of ramshorn snails, only small and i syphon them out every couple of days, I've done the lettuce leaf trick but they dont seem to go to it. My question is: would an assassin snail help my situation?? Regards

Yep LyndaB, Light were off from 6pm to 7 am the next day. Removed lettuce this afternoon and it had 2 of the tinyest snails, got my Syphon tube out and removed around 50 snails. Don't mind a few snails just don't want the tank to be overrun.

Hi, the stock lighting was so hot that it raised the temp in the tank by 2 degrees it also gave a yellow colour. I bought the LED bulbs and they dont get hot and are brolliant white, so defo go fot LED upgrade!!

LyndaB, I love the edge tank, access can be a pain but fluval make tools which work well. If you need to put your hand in then you have to takesome water out. Cleaning is fine andif anything need moving its done on my weekly 25%water changes. The snails came from a plant and are breeding lkie...

No Lyndab, i have a fluval edge and access isn't the best, to put my hand in i would have to take some water out which is a pain. Snails dont bother me at all LOL honest

The lettuce wouldn't sink so i put a small stone in the middle of a folded leaf fastened to a pice of thread so i can pull it out and throw it.
