I have had the tank up for about 5 months. No I didn't wash the sand, eek! Was I supposed to? I got the sand in the bag with water, I think coralife, something like that.

I will mess with it when I get home, I will try to wipe it away first, then maybe stir the sand a little if that doesn't work. Thank you guys so much! I will let you know how it goes.

Hmm yes I guess maybe it is on the glass. Its not anywhere else. On one side there is something similar but it's pink. Should I just leave it be or try to scrape the glass below the sand?

Hi all!! I was advised to get 2 circulation air pumps for my 36 gallon tank. My question is where is it best to place them and what direction should they face? Obviously not facing down since that would create a sand storm lol, but is it better to face up, straight ahead, etc? Thank you!!!

Yes that helps thank you! I didnt use tap water to add the extra salt, I scooped out a cup of water from the tank and mixed a bit of salt until it dissolved and put in the filter, was that bad? I wont be going back there, the guy didnt even know what a refractometer was!!!! He had to look it up...
