    new sand substrate... cloudy water... filter question

    i changed over to sand tonight in my 55gal tank. it has been about 4 hours and i still have a little bit of cloudy water. i can see the back of the tank, but the water is by no means clear. is it safe to turn on my wet/dry filter now, or will it hurt the pump? how about my HOB filter?

    sick tiger barbs?

    i brought home some tiger barbs today. everything was looking just fine. i acclimated them to the tank then netted them and put them in. i didnt notice it at first (they were chasing each other around so much it was hard to see) but now it appears that they are constantly swimming downwards...
