I was wondering if there was any issue using the t5ho lights you can get at the hardware store for a planed tank? They seem to be much cheaper then the ones sold for plants specifically. For a 30 gallon tall would 4 24watt t5ho be good for a medium to high light tank? thanks

I took everything out and washed it before building the gas separator. I cant get a picture of it, its in the back of the tank and comes blurry. All I can say is its attached to the tube where the co2 comes out, its white, it reminds me of a cotton candy.

So I did the gas separator just as the link showed, but I'm still getting the white wispy growth at the base of the Co2 ladder. Any ideas of what else it could be or I could do?

I actually ended up getting the PVC and gravel to work. What i did was used ALOT of silicone, spread it evenly and the put the gravel on it. I then pressed the gravel down with my hand and shook off the extra. It actually worked pretty well, the gravel sticking nicely.

the silicone sticks to the pvc just fine, I'm actually trying to get it off now with little luck:(. its the gravel that didn't stick. I thought about painting it but i want it to look more natural. Plus now i have alot of silicone on the inside that I'm having a hard time removing.

I'm injecting Co2 into the tank, wont an airstone outgas some of the Co2? As for the powerhead, how big is it? I am looking to creat as minimal clutter as possible, everything is going to be inline, the heater and Co2 injection so i will only have an intake and an outtake.

They don't look like the picture. They are really skinny and don't split at the end. The tip is slightly a different color then the body. they appear to be feeding on the algae but I'm not sure.

They look like they are stationary except the tip which is moving around. I didn't see them 2 days ago, and they don't seem to move at all. Ive never had this problem before with a tank....

The worms are very thin, white in color, mostly on the glass and are maybe a centimeter long. As for the algae it appears to be green dust algae, fuzz, and thread. Thanks
