    Cloudy Water

I have never tried to use other things other than the yeast that came with it, so I have no idea about that. Check valves you can get anywhere. Petsmart, Ur local fish store. They are cheap, under a few $.

    Cloudy Water

I am guessing you have the yeast type co2. You can get a check valve. I have that type of co2 on my 55 and not been blessed with any backups. My can is on the floor and I did not cut any of the tubbing that it came with.

    planted tank lights vs leds

It's going to be awile. Before I set up the new tank. I don't know what I'm going to do about the lights yet. I just replaced the t8 lights on my 55 which were $38. And the cost of electric to run them. But I want a high light tank. We will see.

    planted tank lights vs leds

I have been thinking about this a lot. I found out my 55 g is low light. It has 2 t8 lights. And that is not what i want to the new tank. I went to the marineland web site and they are comming out with a light for planted tanks the first half of this year. If that's not out by the time I'm ready...

    my 125g project

Yes. Left pic is before concrete. Mid is the leds in planter boxes and the amber led is a sand fall. Right pic is after concrete. I need to put it in the tank and wash the background but right now its too cold out. Also I moved the green leds to the inside of planters to look like the amber one...

    planted tank lights vs leds

I am in the process of setting up a 125g planted tank. My question has anybody had sucess with led lights? I'm am thinking about 2 36" marineland double bright or reef lights. I understand the benifits of t-5 lights I also know of all the disadvantages, running cost and bulb replacement.

    New Tank Ideas

I think that would be ok, are planning on live plants? If so the cats will unroot them. If all fake then you will be fine. Also the killfish would give you some some fish that stay at the top. Just try and stay away from the slender streamlike fish. Neons, white clouds, etc.

    New Tank Ideas

I had a cat shark(columbian shark) it looks similar to the one u want. He grew very fast and at night got crazy. If you want the cats you should think about getting other fish that grow to a good size so they don't become food. Although there are some pretty cool cory cats. Also with agressive...

Help! Power out for a while. What else can I do.

Also they make back up batteries, like for computers. If Ur power is out for long periods get a big one and cycle your filter not to drain battery.

    New Tank Ideas

You don't want a ufc tank. I don't know the exact type of catfish but like most it will get big and ruin any plants. The gouramies and danios and killfish. Or tigers, sharks, and silver dollars. It gets very costly if u mix.
