Obviously no one can guarantee live delivery if posting live stock, but I'd have to check about the replacements, I think it's a case of if you can provide a photo of the bag unopened showing any losses and all still sealed then it's fine. But as I say I can check for anyone who is interested...

The breeder I know will post shrimp as well, packaged and with heat pads etc if needed :-)

If anyone wants to purchase any red cherry shrimp around Hampshire then I know a very grood breeder. I saw some for sale in maidenhead aquatics at £7 a shrimp!! I get them for 75p each. E-mail me for details :-)

I've never really got involved with marine tanks, but I've always thought that it would be good to get some experience with them. Let us know how it goes

I've got some java moss on a piece of bogwood in my shrimp tank and I'm thinking of getting a load for my red bellies as well. I've seen the slate structures you mean an I really like them, I was going to get a small on for my shrimps to breed in

I don't sell java moss, but you can pick up some real bargains on eBay including some nice breeding caves etc all coated in the stuff :-)

Thanks :-) I've been trying to get a clear answer from someone who actually has experience with them. I've been told everything from 55L per fish to 100 gallons each. I thought they would be ok for a 220 gallon so thanks again for the confirmation :thanks:

How many did you have in a 220? Because at the moment I have five young red bellys in a 100, and i know I'm gonna have to scale up tank size but just can't find a decisive answer to how big 5 piranhas will need at adult size?

Current piranha diet :fish1: At the moment they are being fed on a selection of things. I'm quite lucky because I know a couple of game keepers and have access to a trout farm so they are getting a varied diet of bloodworm, algea wafers, trout, some lovely deer hearts that my game keeper...

By the way guys if anyone around the south coast of the uk is looking for any red cherry shrimp, or other breeds such as red crystal's etc I dealt with a fantastic breeder today. And charged me only £18 for around 30 shrimp. If you go by the price of red cheers at maidenhead aquatics then they...

Nice to know there are a few people close to home who may be able to offer advice :-) I've got two set ups at the moment, one which houses my five red belly piranha, and a plec. And just today I've finished setting up my breeding tank for red cherry shrimps :)
