Heron. They devour fish, I've seen it firsthand, and it's so sad. Have you noticed any lose scales in the water? They lose scales during the struggle with the heron usually so that's a clue.

You could add like 100 feeder guppies along with you fish selection. It's really enjoyable to watch them school and swarm the surface for food. The guppies will breed and offer constant replenishing food for the goldies

Along with like 50 little guppies and about 10 rosies, and like 5 common feeder goldies

So I grow my own organic catnip for my cat, and decided to thin them out a little bit and I was curious whether it could grow in the pond, well it made it a few hours just fine until my koi noticed it and ate it voraciously. I had no clue it would seem like a tasty treat for them. Lol kinda funny

I think it's best used in conjunction with one another. I have a flow from the bottom filter, and I'm thinking of adding the trickle filter as well. That way the first one will be a mechanical filter that filters out the crud, and the trickle will take care of the bb and chem filtration

All you need is the pump input on the bottom portion of the bucket/trash can, and the output spout at the top, with filtration media in between for it to flow through.easy as pie

The coil of hose would only help evenly distribute the input of water into the filter media itself...like a diffuser.

You should put him in another container and dose it with aquarium salt, you could leave him in there for a few hours and then return him to the tank. I would do this every few days
