Overflow drain noise, advice needed please!

Well, reducing the flow through the valve did the trick, however, I will still install the elbow as I think I need to reduce the splashing. The vaporization rate is quite high, I'm topping up daily with about 4-5 litters, is that normal?! Another thing, I have just found a yellowish green fuzz...

Upgrading from 29 biocube to 75g custom drilled, need advices

It is going to be an outside corner built-in in the wall of my basement. Almost done with the framing. This is the overflow at the back The drain enters the sump. I used a ball valve just in case I needed to shut down or reduce the drain.

Hello Everyone, I'm very excited to upgrade to a 75 g tank. Red Slime

Hello Everyone, Does any one has any idea on how to get rid of red slime? I tried to scoop it by hand, change the water, but no use. I also added a power head at the spot where it's growing, but still didn't work. I have a 29g biocube, and it's mainly growing on the sand and the glass. Many...

Thanks Severum mama, I decided to go with the drilling. I've been waiting to find used ones for the last 3 months, but unfortunately, it is very unlikely to find the size that I'm looking for, besides, most of the used tanks are full of scratches. The one I'm working on is planned to be a show...

Starting up new 65 g aquarium, all help and thoughts are appreciated

Thank you, I'm in London, Ontario in Canada, so buying from a website like this one would cost me a fortune to ship. We have Big Al's here which can customize do tanks, but they are also expensive. So I decided to go with the 65g. Thanks for the tip though.

    Stabilizing a 10g aquarium

Thanks Scott, I will try those tips and will post the result. For now I'll keep the tank without fish for a couple of weeks (as my boxfish died last night), and will do a couple of water changes, before I get a new fish. I think this time I'll just keep 2 small clowns. Any other suggestions on...

    Stabilizing a 10g aquarium

Thanks Scott, I will follow your advice in terms of the water top ups, but I don't have an RO system, I only use the normal drinking water filter which I think is a 2-stage filter, but I treat it with aquarium water conditioner. (Do you think this is a problem?!!) Would you think the power head...

    Stabilizing a 10g aquarium

I usually measure the salinity and top it up if needed, I didn't want it to be over diluted. It seems to me that the surface is getting a good flow that always moves the surface, however, sometimes I see an oily film on the surface. I have no other flow besides the filter. Could you provide some...
