I have a slightly under stocked 90 gallon mbuna tank with an eheim 2217 canister. I use a power head to create more flow towards the intake. I have not had any issues with the filtration but I guess it depends if your tank is overstocked. What is your current stock??

Mine is not overstocked but I have an eheim canister filter the classic. It seems to do a good job no complaints here.

Mine do the same thing, the zebras in particular seem to love it. I've even seen them take it away from my pleco!

Yeah definitely am gonna stick with mbunas. So I'm thinking about introducing some female johannis. Any other suggestions in breeding pairs that are colorful both male and female? Thanks for the replies so far!

I meant is it harder, to breed certain species over others. So for example is it harder to breed afras than red zebras? Or is it just a matter of adding 3-4 females with 1 male of the same species and waiting??

So my parents are renovating part of the house...suggested putting the 90 gal. In the wall between the new study/family room. The filter would have to be concealed under the tank in the wall. I guess we'd have to put some wood panels in above the tank on one side for access. Anyone ever done...
