I currently feed my yellow tang a combination of green seaweed selects and prime reef flake food. Am I right in thinking that I can but nori form the grocery store instead of the seaweed selects? Is there anything I need to be cautious about? Juster

I bought a system from Aqua-Safe off ebay. It was only $100 and works great. It also comes with a TDS meter which is a must. Search for Aqua-Safe RO/DI to find them.

I would reccommend you get The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert M. Fenner. This is a great book for a beginner. It helped me understand a lot about SW tanks.

You have to attached it to a faucet and make the ro/di water which you then add to you tank.

I would suggest you think about buying RO/DI water. Tap water can have lots of PO4 which will cause algae problems.

I got 2 heaters and the hydrometer. No need for test kits yet. Plann on buying in a week or so. What brand is best? Frmo what I have read I need to stay away from the paper type. Also, do I just use standard pvc glue or do I have to get something special?
