Agreed. I add Prime just before the water is added. I also make sure the water is splashing against the side of the suction tube on the end of the hose as well as against the aquarium wall. Awesome oxygenization, deactivates much of the chlorine... and my fish LOVE swimming back and forth...

Well I went out to get some Epsom Salts for her and when I got home she'd died. She was happy and playful for three years. I'm glad I had her and her sister. I think I'll set up a new tank and breed some Kribs next. And now I have a good hospital tank for the future. Thanks for everyone help...

I know they haven't jumped so must have been eaten. Bones and all?? The tetras arent tiny, and the largest fish are a few gourami and 2 Kribs. Weird :-)

This is really weird. I've only lost 2 fish in the last 6 months, however both of them completely disappeared. I track my tanks everyday making sure each fish is okay, et cetera however twice fish have just disappeared and I can't find a body or anything anywhere. Both times they were smaller...

All great advice. I have a 20g I've inherited (just the tank), and have two active 10g tanks running. 1 with a lone betta, and one with some platys. I think going planted in the 29g is a good idea. I'll just have to plan ahead as to what to do with it's inhabitants while I'm switching over :-)

I just bought two Moonlight Gouramis and they are my favorite fish right now! They come up to the front glass to see me whenever I'm looking in, and they play with my finger if I dip it in the tank! Moonlights have a slightly different shaped head which gives them more character!

I have just inherited an Albino Cory. Im worried My gravel is too coarse for him. I'm going to put a layer of smooth gravel down on top. Can anyone see any potential issues with this? Thanks!
