    Looking for new stock advice

I'd love some ideas of what I could add to this 72g. I love my Gourami but I find the tank boring to look at. Needs some color :-) Any thoughts/ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Taking fish out for pictures

I'm blown away by all the pics I'm seeing on Instagram of fish laying in the palms of their owners while the owners take pictures of them. Am I wrong in thinking this is horrible for the fish?? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    Large Aquarium Best Practices?

Hey all I just moved from a 29G to a 72G Bowfront :-) I don't know who's happier... me or my fish. They are loving this! I was wondering if anyone has any best practice advice based on experiences with large tanks such as this? Here's what I've learned so far in the 24 hours since it's been...

    adding water with python

Agreed. I add Prime just before the water is added. I also make sure the water is splashing against the side of the suction tube on the end of the hose as well as against the aquarium wall. Awesome oxygenization, deactivates much of the chlorine... and my fish LOVE swimming back and forth...

    Please help - Sick Kribensis

Well I went out to get some Epsom Salts for her and when I got home she'd died. She was happy and playful for three years. I'm glad I had her and her sister. I think I'll set up a new tank and breed some Kribs next. And now I have a good hospital tank for the future. Thanks for everyone help...

    Please help - Sick Kribensis

She's no worse but no better :-( Ive moved her to a 5G hospital tank with a nice strip of foliage (silk) she's using for comfort. She's so awesome. Even through she's so sick every time I go see her she wiggles out toward my face and sits with me. I'm dosing with Melafix as instructed on the...

    Please help - Sick Kribensis

We have a single female Krib who has become bloated, faded and lethargic resting on the bottom. She used to have a female friend who passed away naturally a month ago. She's in a community tank and has gotten along very well for 2 years with our Rummy's, Gouramis and Rasbora. She's always...

Yes you are. The amount of waste in there must be so Hi. Are you checking your water parameters? What are your Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate readings? Sent from my LG-D803 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Where are my fish going

This is really weird. I've only lost 2 fish in the last 6 months, however both of them completely disappeared. I track my tanks everyday making sure each fish is okay, et cetera however twice fish have just disappeared and I can't find a body or anything anywhere. Both times they were smaller...

    Bored with my tank

All great advice. I have a 20g I've inherited (just the tank), and have two active 10g tanks running. 1 with a lone betta, and one with some platys. I think going planted in the 29g is a good idea. I'll just have to plan ahead as to what to do with it's inhabitants while I'm switching over :-)

    Bored with my tank

I hate to say this, but I'm bored with my tank. I have a 29 gallon community tank, with some really nice fish, but after six months I'm just bored. I still love fish keeping – I just want to make it exciting again. Any ideas? :-)

Catching Tetras from a community tank

Ok I give! ;-) I have to pull 6 tetras out of my 30 gallon tank, which is also stocked with Rasboras, and a few others. Needless to say this has been a nightmare. I don't want to stress out them or the others by CHASING them one at a time with a net. And they are FAST little buggers. Is there...

What type of algae is this?

Can anyone tell me what type of algae this is? It's only on this fake plant, and a bit on the rim of one decoration in my tank. (So far ;-) Gavin

    Male Platy is too aggressive

I have a 10G tank with 4 female and 3 male platies, and two male fancy guppies. One of the male platies is a real (pardon my French) *******! He's constantly charging at the other fish - male OR female. I have a 29 gallon community tank with tetras, harlequin Rasboras, and Moonlight...

    New gournamis!(:

I just bought two Moonlight Gouramis and they are my favorite fish right now! They come up to the front glass to see me whenever I'm looking in, and they play with my finger if I dip it in the tank! Moonlights have a slightly different shaped head which gives them more character!
