Just give her a few days! My first pregnant guppy I had her in the breeder box and then took her out because she hadn't dropped them. Literally the day I took her out she dropped them in the big tank and I freaked out and tried to net out all the babies. It was a disaster.

They do get big though.

Ghost knifes are very timid fish. They will hide most of the time and are nocturnal by nature so are usually only out at night

Cories in my opinion are more fun because if you get three or more of them they will swim around together like they are playing and it's really cute. Loaches are cool as well though every now and then my cories will swim around the middle and top of the tank but they are mainly bottomed...

You could get a turkey vaster and cut the opening so it's wide enough to not hurt him and suck him out
