I started to make my 20g a heavily planted tank with eco complete. Comparing 2 plants I bought at the same time putting one in my 55g with sand and 1 in my 20g with eco complete...I'm already trimming the plant in the 20...just seems to do alot more for them IME ...but not a super substrate lol...

I've never had a problem with the anubias that I've gotten from PETCO other than I didn't rinse them first and encountered a hitchhiker snail problem. Just look at the leaves and if they look good buy em and rinse em off real good when u get home. Then plant however u want.

U still need a co2 tank/bottle

I have some ghost shrimp in my community tank never had any plant damage so you should be fine.

I love...and need anubias for my planted tank to attach to my rocks. Variety would be nice and I need around 8-10 total. The ones I'd like most in order of favorites are... Anubias Barteri Anubias nana Anubias hastifolia Small-Medium is ok...I don't need large ones because i'd like to enjoy...

Do u still have anacharis and Java moss maxwellag? What would shipping be to 72901 for like 3 clumps of moss and 8 anacharis?

I just did this exact thing with my 20g except I only had black gravel I mixed it with...I think it turned out great! I'd say if u already have atleast 1 inch of black gravel 1 bag of eco should be fine IMO. Bad camera angle from my phone but this is how mine looks. I mad the front around 1...

It is probably to big for them flip grains most of it is around 1/8th an inch. Im going to use eco complete as my surface substrate. i just wanted to be sure that having it on top of this wasn't going to cause problems. Because of my nitrate problems before...idk...kinda figured maybe the gravel...

So I'm completely redoing my 20g tank and going to make it a RCS tank. I've read alot of thread and articles and I have a general idea of what I'm going to do. My 20g tank was my first fish tank but now I have a 55 and I'm pretty content with it. Just need a few more fish and it will be done...
