For Sale: Red Cherry Shrimps, Marmorkrebs, Chocolate Shrimps

Here is one better... A video. :brows: They are not all blue like this; however, they do have the same exact 'Marbled' pattern. Their colors has been speculated to be due to their diet, as I have had gray/silver ones turn blue...and vice versa. This is an adult female, what you will be...

Wanted: Looking For pumpkin and red cherry shrimp

Blue Rilis ( blue velvet, blue jelly) shrimps were derived as a morph out of Red Rilis. Red Rilis was a genetic morph from the high grade Sakura-Fire Red shrimps...which came from selective breeding of your regular Cherry Red Shrimps. :D

    New Addition! Pelvicachromis Pulchers :D

Here's a fun and attractive addition to the 29g... They were quite feisty on the way home and during the first 30 minutes of drip acclimation...however, they seem quite comfortable and right at home now! The only downside was I had just recently rescaped my 29g last weekend...and had to do...

    mixing shrimp

Looks good! My Amanos shares a tank with my Fire Red RCS just fine. The only thing is that Amanos are pretty big bullies with their food. Usually they grab it and run off LOL. Not recommended to combine same species though such as neocaridina heteropoda since they'll mix and you'll end up with...

For Sale or trade: Subwassertang and Red Cherry Shrimp (Fire Red Culls)

Available for sale/trade is some subwassertang which is a low-light, low-maintenance 'plant' that resembles seaweed. It grows similar to moss. Great for frys and shrimps. I have 3 'golfball' sized portions (measured dry) available for $6. Shipping is available at $4 first class or $7...

    Recommendation: Brichardi (Neolamprologous) or Kribensis?

Yeah, the Kribs look like these guys: If going with the Kribs...Would it be better to get the 'mated pair' or just get 2-4 and wait for them to pair up by themselves?
  19. J

    Recommendation: Brichardi (Neolamprologous) or Kribensis?

Yeah, just regular Kribensis (Pelvicachromis pulcher). I personally like the Brichardis, but wifey is leaning toward the Kribs for their coloration...lol.

    How many shrimp?

Yup. Same here. I put that on the intake tubes of my HOBs. I tried pantyhose once..but it got 'full' real quick and hindered the HOBs performance. I recommend squeezing the fluval sponge once or twice every month though.

    Bowling Green, KY

Looking to see if there are any local fish enthusiast in the area that may be interested in getting together for social swaps and what not. Otherwise, for those not familiar, we do have a local fish club that focuses primarily in the ~100 mile radius of Bowling Green, KY. However, we do have...

    Recommendation: Brichardi (Neolamprologous) or Kribensis?

Looking to add one of these pairs to a planted 29g. Currently it houses 4 Zebra Danios, 1 Bristlenose Pleco, and 2 Amanos. Plants are Corkscrew Vals, Dwarf Sag, Rotala, and various Mosses. Two large driftwoods. I was just wondering what everyone's recommendation would be based on...

    ghost shrimp breeding

I never had much luck getting Ghost Shrimps to breed...though my RCS (Red Cherries) are very prolific even with minimal hands-on care. I actually left for vacation for a month, came back and they flourished off the algae/biofilm. Like some mentioned, I would recommend a small golfball of...

What Kind of Shrimp Should I Get Next?

I did 10g for awhile...but I believe 20g Long is one of the best size for shrimps. Same height as 10g but with a larger footprint for more shrimps! More water is always useful as a buffer in terms of water params. Look at some Chocolate Shrimps or Blue Rili/Blue Velvet...different look than...

    How many shrimp?

~10 is a good number to start with. Given that not too many die (this is pretty uncommon given the RCS's hardy nature), you should have a good size colony in ~6 months. I have some in a 10g right now and counted some which was at about 50-60 and it still looks like it has enough space to...
