Myself have a strange mix in my community :) including discus , firemouths , black ghost knife a and a large angel

today I'm buying a new external canister filter , as my old small internal filter broke , should I just set up the new filter straight away with the sponges from my old filter for bacteria or just scrap the old one please help me ASAP as I don't want to harm my fish thanks all :)

Hi there today I went out and got two young firemouths I was warned not to put them in with my community but I went for it there doing great there really peaceful fish in my opinion just out of curiosity does any one here have firemouths ? Any tips on them thanks :)
