My bf took most of the photos. I suck with the camera. He had it on macro. My macro phots are just flashes of teal and red. I'll post some more in my gallery. Thanks for the compliments!

Hi all, Finally I have some photos of the tank. All the plants are looking quite good, despite my unfortunate encounter with UPS.

I've had success with fishvet.com, but not with UPS. :) Read my post entited, "My plants are dying..." The fishvet.com guy is really cool and the plants are in good condition even though they spent 6 days in the UPS facilty.

d9hp, I really like my skunk cleaner, although she hides a lot. I asked a question a couple of days about them in this forum - you might want to check it out. The consensus I got was that they do better in pairs and if you have two they will start to carry eggs, which are great fish/coral food.

They can drop their feathers if they are stressed. They also regrow them under better circumstances. Probably the best thing you can do is just let it be - if you mess with it, most likely that will cause more stress.

Here's another update: Fishvet said he has to eat the cost of the plants b/c UPS won't reimburse him. Which I think sucks b/c UPS goofed up (I saw the delivery guy fly by my house on the day of the expected delivery). The fishvet seems like a good guy and the catalog he sends with the order is...

I can just get another one, and they'll start producing eggs? Did I miss a day in biology? :? Do they switch sexes like clownfish? Can you tell the sexes apart?

Hi Hara, I've been following your situation, I'm really sorry for all your losses. Is there anyway you can put the fish in a tank that is not affect by whatever is going on, just to prevent more losses? If course moving them would probably stress them more.... Just a suggestion. I hope...

Okay, I know I read this somewhere, but I forgot. I have hundreds of bubbles in the DSB (4 inches) against the glass (I'm sure they are all over, but I can only see what's touching the glass). Everytime some thing walks across the sand lots of bubbles rise up. What are these bubbles? Correct...

Oh yeah, good point! I think the manual says to keep the intake about an inch off the substrate. I had to cut and recut - then I got a starfish that liked to pile sand under the intake - so I had to cut again. It's pretty easy to cut - I didn't have a saw so I used a razor blade and scissors.

Bummer...None of my shrimp really come out at feeding time - they just eat whatever they find on the rocks at night. Although they have been known to steal the piece of fresh shrimp or salmon I give to my starfish.

Well, the plants are in and don't seem to be getting any worse - Yippee! I can't wait until the ruined plants are replaced, and I can get everything into my tank. The planted tank looks super cool (not to sound like a dork, but hey).

The shrimp is a shunk cleaner. I also have 6 peppermints. Didn't see again today. Do you think I should get a couple more or will the cleaners join with the peppermints?
