    Worm in my flower pot?

Hey! My husband found a worm like thing in our flower pot last night. He got it out, but we found 3 more today. It's about 4-6 inches long, skinny, and white. It has stripes, almost like its ribbed. Here's some pics. I just want to know what it is and if its harmful to our coral. If it is...

    Coral beauty...

Yeah, he comes out when he thinks no ones around and then as soon as you approach the tank he zips right on back behind the rocks.

20 gal mixed reef with some fish

Yep! I've never seen him go after our coral. We've only had him for a week or so and he hides out in the back of the tank for the most part.

    Coral beauty...

Thanks! My clowns were doing the corner thing too. They also come out when they think no ones looking, lol. My black clown is a bit more adventurous than my percula.

20 gal mixed reef with some fish

I don't mind. Honestly, my husband does most of the upkeep, lol. I get to enjoy hunting down coral frags and just the beauty of it all. I'll have to ask him and I'll let you know.

Dont know how to get started

Oh! And I've heard that you should introduce damsel last as they can be aggressive. Always introduce aggressive fish last! A lot of people say that the general rule of thumb is an inch of fish per gallon, but I'd err on the side of caution. We have a 20 gal but only have 3 fish. 2 percula clown...

Dont know how to get started

Lots of research! Make sure you have lots of copapods for the mandarins. You can train them to eat regular fish food, but it takes time and they mostly feed off copapods.

    Coral beauty...

Hey! We've had a coral beauty for about a week. He's eating and looks healthy, but he spends almost all his time in back of tank. He comes out when he thinks no ones around but as soon as I approach the tank he zips back behind the rocks. Any way to get him to come out more? I only have a True...

20 gal mixed reef with some fish

Thanks! My hubby and I are rather proud. This is our first saltwater tank. We started with freshwater last summer and finally took the saltwater plunge a few months ago. Any tips, tricks, or suggestions are appreciated!

Can a percula clown change colors?

We have a true percula and a black/brown? Percula. The true looks like its turning black. Maybe that's just his coloration? But he had no black on him a week ago. Except for what out lined his white stripes. Probably a dump question.

    ID please!

My husband actually boiled some water and dipped that side of the rock in it. Seems to be gone. We'll keep an eye on it though. Thanks for the info on the shrimp! Might get a pair anyways in case it shows back up.

Planning on it, lol. I read on another post that some shrimp eat them. I think it was candy cane shrimp? Can't remember...

    Another ID please!

Thank you! They look great under the actinic light. They are surrounded by hair algae. Hopefully my hermit crabs will start digging into that. Do they propagate well and will the algae bother them?

Got some new live rocks today. One of them has some coral on it, just wondering what kind and how to take care of them. These are our first corals though we are planning on getting more soon. Thanks!

Thanks again! That's the best pic I have right now and even that was blown way up. I'll keep an eye on it.

Just found a hitchhiker on some live rock...

Thanks! They're pretty harmless right? We're in the process of cycling our tank so, if he's beneficial then I hope it makes it through! We're only about a week in to cycling but we are using live sand and live rocks. I have one more ID needed. This little guy is super tiny but kinda opens up and...
