You do t want to leave any other fish with your cichlids. They may be calm and peaceful but cichlids 99% if the time, are not.

I don't know much about lake Victoria cichlids, but it may be able to work since you have the milder tempered mbunas. I know the general rule if thumb is not to mix lakes but like I said I don't know too much about lake victoria

Personally I wouldnt advise using vinegar on an up and running tank that is stocked with fish. My advice would be to pick you up any generic sponge and every time you do a water change or top off your evaporation use the sponge to scrub the water lines off. You can also go to just about any pet...

Auratus are another possibility. Some people have had problems with them being too aggressive, but mine have gotten along just fine with the fish mentioned above. I have mine in a 75 gallon

You could add some syno catfish with them for a little more variety

Maingano will add a nice blue and the Acei are one of my favorites. Mine travel the whole tank and are my most active.

Yellow labs are good. Maybe some maingano and Acei. Socolifi add in we'll too

I would look into something in the area if a 30 gallon. You can find them pretty cheap and that should give them plenty if room to grow

Well Hob I don't see where she says what size tank it is to begin with. Also, she said the fry were in her tank not in his with the tiger barb. Just sayin'
