Thank you all for the helpful tips. I've decided to leave the betta in the cube until I can pick up a tank for him this weekend, and doing daily water changes. I'll post again once I've got the little guy set up in his new home.

Also, can multiple female bettas be housed together? I know males can't be, but can you have 2 or 3 females together without problems?

@Hholly Thanks I'll try him in there with them for a bit and observe how he reacts. If he doesn't do so well then he may have to stay in the cube until the weekend :(

What would be a good freshwater test kit to use? I have some test strips, but it seems a lot of people on here find those to be inaccurate.

@Mrc8858 As far as I know. All the fish in there are still fairly small, but I was planning on upgrading to a larger tank when they outgrew this one.
