I have some CRS and one of them has been pregnant for a while now.
A few days ago I noticed a baby shrimp and last night when I looked I could see 3 baby's. it still looks as though the mother has lots of eggs underneath her though so I'm curious as to how long it will take for them to all...
So I have recently been told I can have a friends 78 gallon (298 liter) tank for free, I already have a tropical tank and a shrimp tank so I am wanting to try cichlids.
I have decided on Lake Malawi Mbuna and I will use Texas holy rock on sand and crushed coral.
As I have never had cichlids...
That's so cheap! I spoke to the lady at my LFS and she said she would be happy to take my danios and do a swap so I think I'll do that. I just have to get the nitrate levels down as they are a little high ATM.
I went to my LFS yesterday and they have Bolivians for $15 so I'm going to get one and then I might get a few more when I get the bigger tank. I think I'll get some of the bigger tetra species to go with them, I'll see how I go from there
The plants real, I think it's a vial or something like that. Just to clarify I'm trying to find out what the little things hanging off the plant are, not what type of plant it is.
I have found this in my tank, looked like eggs to me but I only have 1 dwarf gourami, 1 leopard Danio, 1 zebra Danio, 1 pearl Danio, 2 neon tetras and 1 Bristlenose pleco so i don't know. Can anyone help with an ID??
Okay cool, I'm going to go to my LFS and see if they have them or can get them in. I've read in some places it's better to just have one and others to get a pair. What's the difference?
At this point I'm looking at having 1 or 2 Bolivian Rams, About 6 Kuhli loaches, and possibly some Cory...
They sound awesome! I saw them for the first time yesterday at my LFS and loved the look of them! How many do you have? I am currently scoping for a new and bigger tank and I would love a bunch of these to chill on the bottom with my Bristlenose pleco!
Haha well that's somewhat good news. What else do you have in there? Also, any chance you could tell me a bit about the kuhlis? I'd like to hear what they are like from someone who has them!
I have heard that clown loaches eat snails and I'm curious to know if kuhli loaches do also as I want kuhli loaches and have snails that come in on plants (not planned) and I think I've found some snail eggs, would be awesome if the kuhlis will eat them! Anyone know if they do?
Until yesterday there was a guppy but it died. But only one so I don't know... There's also a few little snails that came in on plants. Don't know if that helps?
