My tank is only about 5 months old, but it's filling in. This shot was w IPhone... The Royal Gramma snuck in there when I was taking the shot..

The photo sure does look similar to fungia photos! Maybe this will end up being a great hitchhiker.

I guess time will tell what this could be as it grows. The coloration doesn't match any current inhabitants or past ones for that matter. No idea how much infantile or juvenile corals vary from the more adult versions.

Please help! We've been watching this thing grow on our sand for a while now. I finally was able to get a better photo of it. It's just over 1/4" wide and seems to have luminescence. In this 26 gallon tank is a torch, fishspawn and hammer corals.

Thanks for the suggestions! After a lot of googling, I found a peanut worm photo that has similar coloring and texture to what we have in our tank. Also, it stretches out several inches and doesn't have the sea hare "rabbit ears". So, I'm going with it being a Peanut Worm for now unless we...

I've been looking through photos of sea slugs, sea cucumbers, sea squirts/tunicates, sponges, and anything else I can think of... Nothing really seems to match. But there are tons of varieties of each - who knows of I will find a match. Anyone else have a guess? It seems like a filter...

My wife describes it as " like a gel apple with red moving parts inside and a long tail like thing."

We moved our live rock around and found this hiding in the back. It moves slowly and seems to change shapes, peanut and apple shapes. Any ideas?

Ok, I know this sounds weird, but I've got a nearly transparent cube that is quivering and jiggling like jello on the sand between two rocks. I have cultured live rock in this tank as well as a six line wrasse and clown fish. I've seen it roll over a couple of times, but that may be the light...

Thanks! On the second picture, the three main pieces were all in question. It's all part of a really vibrant live rock that must have 20 different organisms that we can't identify. It's crazy! Time to research tunicates! :) Below is the piece of live rock that we love so much.

I'm pretty much a newbie to salt water and can't even come close to figuring out what this can be. It's a fuzzy cocoon looking thing. About the size of a large grape. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the fast reply! Yeah, there are several spots popping up on this one piece of live rock. It's only been in the tank for a week. Now to decide on the best way to get ride of them. Maybe combination of peppermint shrimp ( because we like the look of them ) and Joe's Juice....
