Help!! Mystery organism

Please help! We've been watching this thing grow on our sand for a while now. I finally was able to get a better photo of it. It's just over 1/4" wide and seems to have luminescence. In this 26 gallon tank is a torch, fishspawn and hammer corals.

appears to be an LPS coral of some kind but can't say for sure what it is. It looks cool, and if it isn't moving around, most likely is harmless.
 
I guess time will tell what this could be as it grows. The coloration doesn't match any current inhabitants or past ones for that matter. No idea how much infantile or juvenile corals vary from the more adult versions.
 
The photo sure does look similar to fungia photos! Maybe this will end up being a great hitchhiker.
