i want to set up a QT and keep it running but i dont want the water in there to go bad. how do u maintain a QT? is it just water changes? do i need a filter? if the fish do get sick and u use copper doesn't it kill l the bacteria? and therefore make the filter useless?

if they get along then no.. i've seem a lot more tangs in much smaller tanks do very well..

There is no such thing as overkill. the water quality in a reef is 10x cleaner than a skimmer can ever Take out... the bigger the better. however i would really like to suggest a in sump skimmer because they just much better than any of the hang on the back skimmers... another suggestion...

Yes, thats true. however if something will go wront with the tank the next 90days (they offer a 90day warranty) i will have to get a truck and go Tennessee... which is about 10hours... and i heard their customer service is none existent. based on the reviews i read online.

:facepalm: thanks for the info. I heared they do a sloppy job on the silicone... but is it reliable enough to hold water for the next... i dont know 5years? I mean is it really that difficult to build an aquarium?
