Hi thanks for the input! I was referring to the dark part on the leaf on there right in the middle. Perhaps there are not very much micros? Also I have the top of the tank sealed cause I am working on killing some midge flys. Could there be oxygen deprivation?

Well I've always had troubles growing plants in my aquasoil, it kind of drove me crazy cause I spent all this money on it and it grew worse than my pebbles I used to have, never would have thought it was my micro dosing, especially using pps pro. I broke my tank down for 3 years cause of it...

It worked! No more yellowing and everything is growing FAST ty!!

So update, I've stopped seeing them in their red form but I've seen them in the silver about to hatch form and a a few that have hatched. The ones that have hatched in the top of the tank are fruitfly sized and green. Does that sound like a midge?

Water change done. I will discontinue micros. Do I continue macros? I will continue with adding the gh. Do you recomend the 3.3 being okay? Should I increase kh?

At that rate they will be dead I think I need this wc. Is it acceptable to dose macros with pps pro?

Update on these, waiting for my dunks. I now see a few swimming around the top, they have changed to a silvery white color. Does that confirm the midge larvae idea?

From what I read on mosquito dunks it's just a bacteria that kills larvae when they eat it and not any chemicals

Well I can't exactly do the gravel vac cause I've planted loads of hc everywhere. And I really don't want these things flying around my house

From what I read they won't come out from just wc they need to be thurrowly killed with mosquito dunks and basically removal of filter media
