been a little bit sense i been on this site so i thought i make a update on this thread. almost been 3 months and had not done a single water change, just added water the evap. ammo is 0 nitrite is 0 and nitrate is 5-10. the ottos and shrimp are doing very well.
If your talking about the bent spine, the most comon cause for that is inbreeding. Did you get this guppy from a friend or was it a baby from one of yohr other guppys?
i been working 12's and had not had time to trim these guys, i am going to do it today just thought i add one more picture before i do so. these things grow too quick i might have to remove them.
Increase surface movement or get a surface skimmer. I had the same issue and didnt want to increase the surface movement as it would unbalance my o2/co2. Surface skimmer works wonders
Wanted to add, my fear is when i get more young ones and there is only a few female with a bunch of males. I would like to get all females to even the ratio but there too young to sex
i currently have 5 Congo Tetras with 2 angels and 4 corys in my 75 gal. i want to add more Congo tetras. only ones i can find are young, would i have any issues adding them with the adults?
I would not worry to much about the water, as you have said its was spreading which is a good thing. Your carpet was acting like a sponge and absorb the water, reducing how much was actualy sitting on your floor boards and the chances of it seaping into the floor boards.
