there are alot of things that seem wrong with what you are saying you did....
are you a newish fishkeeper? you can't just let fish out into a entirely new tank of water that have completely different chemical parameters between the bag water and tank water.....
you have to slowly acclimate...
allivymar, thanks for your help...but i lost the battle. must have been something quick since she just went belly up overnight....no previous signs or anything...:(
did a water change and now praying the male doesn't get inflicted...

okay i have moliwes, one pair in a 10 gallon by themselves...
the female who was doing just fine 2 days ago now has some big white lump and a string of something coming out of her 'no zone'
she is not swimming normally and drifts to her side sometimes, and is gasping...

i broke down and decided to start a cichlid tank...
my lfs stocks/breeds a huge variety of cichlids and i decided on these!

thanks, yeah they are getting bigger than i anticipated too! no eggs yet, i don't have the right conditions for them to spawn...
my LFS Ocean Aquarium here in SF, has sooooo many types of killies and cichilds, and guppies......
best store in the entire bay area!
oops sorry for this late late reply but yes i got them at my lfs, they breed killies, guppies, cichlids, angelfish, and have a huge selection of plants. :) and the bottom guy is a hillstream loach, and yeah hes actually eating algae off the glass!
