Hello, Looking into building a glass tank and the glass company is charging a lot for polishing the edges. Does anyone know whether or not the glass needs to be polished? Thanks for any help!

Also...... if the plastic is fine to use, why does it need to be sealed at all? can't you just let it fill with water and sink?

Hello. Starting a new tank which i will be most likely cycling with some kind of household ammonia, but the only ammonia i can find in the house is the 30% stuff for use in cocktails and cooking recipes. Would this kind of ammonia be okay for cycling a tank? Thanks in advance for any help!

Woops.. Thanks for replying, i tried feeding them fresh zucchini the other day but they still wouldn't eat. Most of the algae wafer had disappeared this morning though so i assume that he/she has eaten some of it.. Thanks for the advice! Hopefully this whiptail will prove tougher than his late...
