Ok so I got some glass cats and I noticed on of them likes to sleep under one of my plants. I thought he was dying but I disturbed him and he swam around and went right back to where he was and went back to sleep. Is this normal or is he dying and it just looks like he's sleeping. He seems...

    Kenya tree & leather

Letting your frag attach to a broken shell is the easiest way to get a base to glue your frag down. Leathers excrete goop when stressed and the goop will shed any glue you use. Which is why the shell is easier.

    Kenya tree & leather

Oh right. For the leathers you can either slice or use the tie method. Where you tie something like a cable tie around the branch and slowly making it tighter everyday until the branch falls off. Take your frag and put it in a container with some crushed coral or shells and wait until the frag...

    Kenya tree & leather

They are super easy to frag. You can just literally rip a price of and place it on some LR. But I would cut a price off to be nice to the coral. Have fun!

    Dimming lights?

Has anyone ever done or ever thought of having their tank light dim off instead of just flicking off? I was thinking about making my tank as natural as possible and then I realized the sun just doesn't disappear. Any thoughts?

    Chinese algae eater!

So my Chinese algae eater likes to lay underneath the heater and dig a hole in the sand. Normal?

What kind of algae is this?

Brown algae is caused by low light levels, low oxygen, and high nitrate levels. So regular partial water changes. Get a higher watt lighting. Get a pleco or otocinclus. Or put plants in to fight the algae for nutrients.
