    DIY 10G reef

Well I chose the mp because of versatility and the wave function is something I really enjoy in nano aquariums. But this tank is just a side project, I have two mp10's in my 40B but I just wanted to mess around with a smaller tank. There's no filtration other than live rock and water changes btw

    DIY 10G reef

For some reason I always go with more then enough so I'm able to reach the happy medium, so all my equipment is adjustable. So far it's suite me well in this hobby, but I'm still a novice lol

    DIY 10G reef

Well I have a tank full of corals I'm gonna pull from and an extra mp10 laying around, also the mp is completely adjustable to suite any tank pretty much, 200-1500+ GPH and they don't just blow water in one direction, they circulate the water across the entire tank. And the minimal look is...

    DIY 10G reef

Yes an mp10, current is a very important fact when you only have biological filtration. I'm not gonna run sand in it either so I'll be able to tune in the wave in the tank, it's gonna be a mixed reef but I'm gonna showcase some high end sps as well with a couple gobys

    DIY 10G reef

Am making a DIY rimless 10g reef. It is not going to contain any mechanical or chemical filtration. Just biological from the rock. It is going to be a bare bottom rimless look that I'm gonna go for with minimal equipment, The only equipment I need to buy is a fulval m200 heater and it'll be wet...

    Clownfish hates my mushroom

Yeah I have a green leather coral they host, but I have a dozen or so blue mushrooms but my clown singles this one out of them, she goes and even gets a really close look at the mushroom before she buries it to haha and if I flip the mushroom over she will instantly go and bury it again!

    Clownfish hates my mushroom

So I have a occe. Clownfish pair, and the female has been quite annoying lately, she will completely bury a mushroom coral no matter where in the tank I place it, if she can see the blue of it she starts tossing sand and corals everywhere until the mushroom is buried, has anyone else had similar...

    Large refugium for 40 breeder

Haha yeah I feel it wasn't high on my list but it's something that I feel benefits a reef tank. Also with the size of refugium salinity spikes would almost not be noticeable so I think ima bite the bullet on this one

    Large refugium for 40 breeder

    Large refugium for 40 breeder

Well the 40 is drilled with a glassbox overflow and I want very good flow in the display and a 90 is a little out of my budget for what I want, also I am going to be plumbing the fuge to be on display, also I want the majority of filtration to be natural along with some skimming to keep...

    Large refugium for 40 breeder

Okay so I have a 40B tank that I'm setting up as a bare bottom reef, I got a great deal on a 90 gallon tank and am going to use it as a refugium and frag grow out tank, does any one have any experience using a refugium multiple times the display tank volume? Pros cons? Any input is very much...

Does anyone else keep harlequin shrimp?

Yeah I recently got a very large cc starfish and cut off one leg at a time, makes me feel better not having to worry about them eating my corals lol and I can portion control their food haha

Does anyone else keep harlequin shrimp?

Well to begin with I feed mine about 2chocolate chips a month depending on the size. But given she can eat a ton! And star fish aren't cheap, I love my specimen, nothing surprises people more then when my shrimp wrestles a starfish onto its back and then begins to eat it!

Does anyone else keep harlequin shrimp?

I'm wondering if anyone has or had a pair of harlequin shrimp. I've heard when a male is introduced it shortens their lifespan, is this true? Here's a pic of my female named Harley

    Scooter dragonets

I have a mates pair of scooter Dragonets and multiple times a week I turn my pumps off and feed them frozen mysis and brine shrimp. They let me know when they are hungry cuz they surf the flow on the front glass, also dragonets in the wild eat a copepod every 3-4 seconds for 12hours a day so if...

My first saltwater tank. 10g Nano

I would wait on a anemone until you are sure your tank is cycled, anemones need good water quality and stable parameters, IMO you should cycle a tank for at least a month before fish is added
