Hi everyone.... Just curious why my gourami s upper lip looks like it is gone? He seems to eat fine. I have no signs of fin rot or anything else in my tank. Water is perfect via testing. I feed flake, freeze dried blood worms and brine shrimp as treats. Any ideas? Gravel substrate????

Thank you Pearly. I am still continuing to do 50 percent or greater water changes daily, my levels are unchanged. After my w/c I add 2 capfuls of prime and aquarium salt. I'm hoping eventually my tank will cycle. It's been a long 6 weeks. My fish seem to be healthy and I haven't lost any more...

I'm using salt...read up on it on this forum. So far so good. Doing w/c daily and fish seem happy. Will be glad when I'm cycled. Thank you.

I tested my tap water and it is zero for all. I retest usually the following morning before I go to work. Sometimes within 3 hours after w/c at night.

I just add prime after water change.

My Nitrites are still 5 ppm and Ammonia zero. Nitrates 5 ppm. Not concerned with nitrates right now. It's the nitrites that are scaring me.

Doing now.....the LFS contradicted everything I've read on here. Thank you....
