    I had them in a 20 gallon once. Used "Had-A-snail" and that took care of them.

    Cleaning Filter help

    I clean the filter media in tank water every week during water changes. Once every 5-6 months I do a total breakdown of the filter housing and clean it well while the media sits in tank water.

    Is it common for clown loaches to fight???

    I have 2 clowns. One has always bullied the other. The other is VERY SLICK at running and getting away. Sometimes they get along though. They do hide together a lot. They must be married!

    duckweed question

    I would go with Amazon Frogbit instead. Duckweed can be a REAL PAIN. Frogbit is easier and grows almost as fast.

    how to de-snail plants for aquarium transfer?

    I use Alum. I forgot the ratio but about 4-5 teaspoons in a gallon of water, let the plants soak for a day or 2. Snails die right away, eggs in 24-48 hours I believe. Tom

    AC 20 filter quit

    Yup, the impeller on these stick sometimes. It's their only flaw IMHO. I just flick the impeller with a small pointed object and it goes again. Fortunately I don't have many power outages. Tom

    You couldn't GIVE me fish from Walmart. Go to a local pet shop instead. Pay a little more (maybe) and get healthier, better taken care of fish. Tom
