Found one baby platy swimming around today :-) came as quite a surprise as thought we only had males! Can anyone tell me how many I should be expecting and how long it will take to complete the birth? As neither of the platys look pregnant to me. Will try to get pictures

Nitrate reading has been at 5 for 2 months now. I have quite alot of fish a mixture of guppies, neon tetras, mollies, platys, cherry barbs. Not sure of numbers off top of my head but in total about 35 in a 26gallon (uk)

Amonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 5. As sure as I can be that I done the test properly. Going to test again tonight to see if anything alse has changed. I have live plants but only a couple, did take some out yesterday and moved some gravel about but thats the only thing ive done different lately

Just done our weekly water test and the nitrate level is 0 should I be concerned? Amonia and nitrite levels are still good. This is the first change in water quality for 2 months.

Was told when we returned them that they prefer soft water and ours is on the harder side so thought it best not to get anymore. The blue rams are lovely but the other half prefered the colour of the golden rams

Just a quick update. We went with a pair of golden rams as center piece fish, looked very nice in our tank but sadly a week later they have both died! LFS took both fish back as still under warranty :-) we now have 2 dwarf gouramis and fingers crossed we have better luck with these

That was my only real concern. Was going to go for a young angel so it grow up with the guppies and didnt pester them to much but thought they would eat the neons. Might look into moving them into our other tank if we cant decide what rams to get as they look nice

Thats good cause they give me free snails to feed my dwarf puffers :-)

Oh I realise they talk out of their backside most of the time lol the list of lfs I will go to is dropping fast because of this reason

I am looking at getting a new tank, well I have found the tank I really like so it just leaves me two options get the one with T5 lighting or pay the extra cash for the one with T8 lighting? The thing is I dont have a clue whelat the difference is. Can someone help please?

Lol all my fish seem to have a nip at all my plants but not noticed and big chunks floating about yet
